Introduction

Midpoint Student Accommodation is within minutes of the city centre on Douglas Street and is perfectly placed for buses and trains. The scheme is just 2 miles from the University of Stirling Campus, which lies just to the North. As a tenant you can enjoy the full ‘city experience’ of shopping, café culture and nightlife. Even Tesco is on your doorstep. Stirling is still compact enough to retain a warm community feel, making it a home from home that’s as easy to get around as it is to live in. With a population of over 86,500 Stirling is just off the M9, one of the main routes in Scotland and in easy reach of the cosmopolitan centres of Glasgow and Edinburgh.

There is a fantastic history to the city, with many legendary sites, not least the impressive Castle which dates back to the late 1400s, the childhood home of Mary Queen of Scots.

The famous 220 foot high Wallace Monument commemorates Scotland’s most famous freedom fighter and the Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297. It acts as an emotional landmark for miles around, from which you can enjoy one of the most spectacular views in Scotland, as far as the Forth bridges in the East and Ben Lomond in the West.

The University

The University of Stirling, located 40 miles north of Glasgow, is home to 9,500 students and offers a diversity of subjects including Scottish History and Tourism.

The campus has some of the finest sports facilities on a single site in the country, including the National Swimming Academy and the Gannochy National Tennis Centre. The campus is also home to the Scottish Institute of Sport, Commonwealth Games Council for Scotland and Scottish Swimming.
